Bridal beauty inspiration with Loverly

Right, so I’m not really a make-up expert nor a beauty blogger but I am a girl and everyone knows we like to look pretty.

It’s party season whether it be Christmas parties, birthdays, new year parties, parties for the sake of partying and of course weddings. There are just as many weddings in winter as there is in summer, especially where it snows, the crisp white snow, dark skies and bright stars always adds an extra bit of angelic mood. I was inspired by Lover.ly to do a beauty post for brides and while I’m not a wedding fanatic, I do enjoy styling.

Lover.ly is a wedding planning site; they help brides to be with beauty and styling inspiration, gown shopping and tips. There are so many beautiful dresses on their website.

Inspiration behind the dress choice

I’m not a big fan of the big ball gown wedding dress, I prefer a sleeker look and lace/silk combination so when I saw this dress, it was a win!

My dress choice was inspired by 1920s style dresses, I love vintage clothing as you may know and a vintage wedding dress is a beautiful thing to have – your something old and something new!

I think vintage style dresses like this have a very majestic and elegant feel to them which is something desired by many brides.

The beauty choices

Because of the lace embellishments on the dress, a very natural look would work well for this dress as it’s already saying a lot by itself, peachy lips always looks romantic. a 20s up-do allows the dress to be centre of attention and adds to the glamorous look. For a more relaxed look, a flower crown can be added, silver flowers if winter wedding. Shimmery ombre nails or white pointed nails is perfect for the natural theme, finish off with extra volume long lashes!
