Women’s online fashion retailer, boohoo.com, has launched its menswear range of fast-fashion clothing, footwear and accessories for customers aged 16-35.
The collection will focus on key trends and core wardrobe essentials such as printed t-shirts, traditional chino, outwear and denims, with prices ranging from £8 to £35. The etailer has invested several million pounds in the venture and is hoping to sell more than 1,000 menswear lines within a week.
Boohoo.com launched in 2006 and has, since then, more than two million womenswear customers globally, and in 2011 the etailer achieved revenues of £24.5m and saw its pre-tax profits rise from £77,000 to £135,805.
Boohoo.com Chief Executive Mahmud Kamani says: “It’s an exciting time for Boohoo, and our growth and expansion reflects our commitment to providing our customers with incredible value and cutting edge style. Men and women alike are embracing online shopping in a whole new way and we offer a 24 hours shopping experience that delivers new trends on a weekly basis”. He also adds that he expects to be generating 25 per cent of overall revenues from the range within three months.
Boohoo is targeting the UK, United States and Europe for sales.
