Following on from one of the biggest trends last year, here comes the turn of the coloured jeans. Last year it was all about colour-blocking and some of us have decided to carry that on, bringing it into 2012 (not that we’re complaining). But anyway, this year, the Coloured denim trend is back again and if you want to try it without looking like a Barbie-crazed 8 year old, here is a few ways to wear it:
The neutral look: try your coloured jeans with a white top & black jacket -It’s easy to pull off this way.
Mixing with similar shades: If your jeans are a rich shade, wear them with similarly bright colours. If your jeans are a pastel colour (s/s 2012 trend), wear them with similar pastel shades.
The prints/patterns look: Leopard, stripes, florals & polka dots can help make your jeans pop. If you like to be daring & love attention, this is great! – But be careful with the accessories, don’t make a statement with the shoes as your already saying it all with the jeans AND the top. (No one wants to look like drunken drag queen)
Denim on denim: there’s nothing wrong with pairing your colored jeans with a denim shirt.
Of course, brightly coloured denim isn’t a new thing in the fashion world but this trend is a fabulous way to add something a little different to the traditional ‘jeans and top’ look and you can get them at almost every shop on the high street at great prices!
